About Gary Winn...
Gary was raised on a small farm in Kinderhook, N.Y., where he lived a storybook childhood. He attended Ichabod Crane Central High School, named after the 'Legend of Sleepy Hollow,’ which was reportedly based on that area.
He entered the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict, serving his country in the military, as did his brother, and father in WWII. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Gary entered College – first Holyoke Community College, and later transferring to the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA, majoring in Business Management.
After a successful career in business, Gary decided to pursue a new career in hearing healthcare. He began his career with a major hearing aid company, first as the Director of the Outreach Program, and was later assigned to his own office. As a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist, he was awarded the level of Senior Master Clinician in 2007.
In 2017, Gary left the corporate world, believing there was a better way to help people with hearing loss. He then opened New Ears Affordable Hearing Care in Southwick, MA.
As a Starkey provider, Gary helps the hearing impaired to hear once again, putting his patient's needs before profits.
Gary currently conducts regular hearing clinics at several Senior Centers throughout the Pioneer Valley.
